New Book on Race, Crime and Punishment Available for Free Download

According to a press release from the Sentencing Project, a new book entitled Race, Crime, and Punishment: Breaking the Connection in America has been published by the Aspen Institute with support from the Open Society Foundation. The book "explores and critiques the intersection of race and the criminal justice system," according to the release. It is edited by Keith Lawrence and includes contributions by Marc Mauer, Michelle Alexander, Eric Cadora, Blake Emerson, Ian Haney Lopez, Alan Mobley, Alice O’Connor, Jonathan Simon and Phil Thompson.
